Need help choosing a new Laptop

I don’t know if there is anyone who can help but I am about to start a new college course and I need to get a Laptop, I might be able to spend about £500 all in i.e. laptop, software etc any suggestions would help

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum.

There is an article on our main Click Digital Products website in the Technology Information area called Some Practical Tips For Buying Your New Laptop that you might find useful.

Also on our UK Shop site there is a Featured Laptop along with some suggested other items like Microsoft Office and Internet security software, take a look at this as it might give you some ideas as to what you want.

Make sure that whatever Laptop you choose you know if it is supplied with any software.

You did not say if and how you would connect to the internet, most Laptops come with WiFi so if you have Broadband at home you will need to decide if and how you will connect your laptop to it.

You could save money if you use OpenOffice.org software for your word processing etc.

Have a read and look around and let me know if there are any other specific questions.
